POSITION SUMMARY

As a Manager at RSM's rapidly growing Corporate Finance practice you will be responsible for managing clients and juniors to deliver projects to clients.

Managers of the division have a responsibility for effectively managing multiple projects and staff in a rapidly growing team, working directly below the leadership team. The role will involve taking the lead on projects which require a high level of advisory input. Managers also have a responsibility to support business development, stakeholder management and staff development.

KEY REPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performing valuations for financial reporting purposes and relevant disclosures to financial statements, including purchase price allocations (AASB 3 Business Combinations), Impairment testing of assets (AASB 136 Impairment of Assets) and employee share options (AASB 2 Share-based Payments); 
  • Perform financial analysis of historical and budgeted/forecast financial performance as part of providing valuation reports and models for presentation to boards of directors, management or shareholders; 
  • Perform valuations of companies or intangible assets to assist in the provision of tax advice; 
  • Provision of valuation advice to support a range of corporate finance activity including advice on sale of businesses and mergers;
  • Provide complex analysis on operational expenses for valuation modelling; 
  • Partner with clients to provide advice on corporate financing and impacts on company valuations; 
  • Risk appraisal on cash flow and capital investments in regard to impact on company/project valuations 
  • Utilise valuation methodologies to provide advice to clients on structuring and operations 
  • Manage client relationships and deliver projects on time and on budget 
  • Team leadership and coaching on valuations to junior staff members

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Essential

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Completed CA or equivalent

DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES

Essential

  • 5 years’ experience in Professional Services
  • Technical proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong ethical standards
  • Business development experience 
  • Strong communication and report writing skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet and work towards deadlines
  • Ability to deal with banks, lawyers, brokers and other professionals

Salary guide :  $113,000-$123,000 exclusive of superannuation
