The Sydney RSM Financial Services team are looking for someone to work closely with our financial advisers to develop personalised SOAs and ROAs, technical solutions and financial strategies. 

You will have the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of clients and develop your career, whether your goal is to become a senior Paraplanner or to eventually transition to become an adviser, we will work with you to provide the career path that’s right for you.

Key responsibilities for the position are:

  • Develop personalised and compliant SOAs and ROAs, ensuring they are of a high standard
  • Working closely with advisers to develop quality advice and technical solutions and strategies for clients
  • Preparation of personalised review reports
  • Ensuring all compliance requirements for advice documents are maintained
  • Research products, strategies and technical issues to ensure your knowledge is kept current and relevant
  • Ongoing research of legislative, industry and licensee changes and assisting in implementing required developments into the business

Qualifications and skill requirements for this position:

  • Experience in preparing SOAs and ROAs, including financial modelling
  • Experience with product research and comparisons
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the industry
  • Experience with Xplan is preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent knowledge of financial planning concepts and processes
  • A good understanding of risk and compliance in relation to investments, superannuation and insurance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Extremely organised and motivated
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team to contribute to the growth and development of the business
