As a Senior Accountant in SMSF Services at RSM, you will be part of a specialist team dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our SMSF clients. Our team supports SMSF clients in managing their responsibilities and compliance obligations for their SMSFs.
You are an ideal candidate for this role if….
- You have completed a bachelor’s degree in Business / Commerce with an accounting major;
- You have two – three years experience working as a SMSF accountant
- You have experience autonomously managing your workflow
- You have experience working directly with clients

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of SMSF’s financial reports, income tax returns and business activity statements in accordance with all current legal and accounting reporting standards
- Preparation of a source documents file that supports the SMSF’s financial reports to support the audit of the reports in line with RSM policies & procedures
- Liaise with the SMSF auditor during the audit of the SMSF’s financial reports and assist in resolution of their queries
- Support senior team members with management of client relationships
- Assist with administration support for SMSF clients such as scanning and managing electronic filing of documents
Essential
- Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
- 2 to 3 years in a similar role
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Committed to continuing professional development
Desirable
- Completion or near completion of CA or equivalent
- Experience with Class Super or BGL360
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel
